Relationships:: Family, Faith and Junior Seau

Relationships.  Family.  Friends.  I just spent the last few days hangin with Dave Miller.  I have known Dave for over 10 years,  I don’t remember exactly when we met.  I know that Grady Martine, who played a key role in my coming to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior introduced us.  Thanks Grady,  for introducing me to Jesus and Dave.

Dave was in town to meet with some folks about ministry stuff and to meet up with some of the photographers who have been to Oaxaca with Adventures in Life.  In the past few days the idea of relationships kept coming up in meetings and conversations.

I’m coming to understand more clearly now that life and ministry is all about relationships. The two really do have to work together in order to be most effective.

RIP Junior Seau 

Living in San Diego, the news of Junior Seau’s death has really impacted the community and is making people wonder why and ask what could we have done to stop this tragic death?

All I can do now is pray for his family.  That God would give them comfort and peace as they mourn, and the strength to move forward.

I believe it’s a reminder that relationships with friends and family are a special thing.  Go tell the people in your life that you love them and that you are there for them.  One of the common messages you hear about Junior Seau is that he cared about people and if you needed anything, he would be there for you.  Again, go tell the people around you that you love them, and don’t be afraid to ask them for help!

I am truly thankful for my family and friends.  Go and be a blessing to someone today.
